Westlake Speech Therapy is certified by the California Department of Education as a Non-Public Agency (NPA), allowing us to provide much needed speech and language services to students who qualify through an Individual Education Program (IEP).
We provide in-person and virtual speech therapy services regionally, as well as case management services to school districts.
We understand that each district has unique needs and will work with you to create a personalized plan that meets your needs.
Our goal is to provide regular communication and collaboration throughout the year, encouraging feedback and improvement between your district and our team.
Our remote services include case management of existing caseloads of up to 50 students per full time therapist from our team, and includes:
- Annual IEP development and meetings
- Triennial reevaluation IEP development and meetings
- Daily speech and language services
- Progress reports
- Students typically seen on a small group basis
- New referrals including assessment, IEP development and meetings are available to be completed by our team on an as-needed basis, billed separately. We use the Pearson QGlobal Standardized Speech and Language Assessment Library for these remote assessments
- Summer assessments
- Summer speech and language services
All of our speech-language pathologists have school experience including the use of various software programs used by different districts for IEP development, progress notes, and daily charting. Each therapist also has extensive training and experience with providing services via tele-practice.
Our therapists are all California licensed SLPs and SLPAs who have experience with SIRAS and SEIS software. They follow the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as California Speech Language and Hearing Licensing Board guidelines regarding web-based speech therapy.
